A fast enough fastback.

Put a Volkswagen fastback in a race with the rest of the fastbacks around today and it would lose hands down.
Even at top speed it wouldn't stand a chance against a 350 h.p. job. (Our fastback cruises at about 84.)
Today a lot of people spend a lot of money on a car because it's big and fast.
But the strange thing is, when they buy a car with so much speed and power, they seldom stop to think where they'll be able to use it.

This is exactly why we made the VW fastback the way we did. Its 65 horsepower engine gets you out on the thruway quickly.
