REVOLVER signs four new international directors

Revolver, an Amsterdam based production house, has expanded its roster of artists with the addition of four new director signings.  The signed directors - Marko Roth, Joppe Rog, Malin Ingrid and Ian Derry, join the roster with an impressive repertoire of work behind them in both the commercial and independent film arenas.  The announcement coincides with the launch of Revolver’s new website.

Known for their work in independent film and advertising, the new signings follow the company’s emphasis on operating at the intersection where branded content and independent film meet. The company’s decision to sign these new talents signals a continued focus on developing thought-provoking films, series and digital minded content with a commitment to create stories that matter and that are culturally rooted.  An example of this is Revolver’s latest documentary ‘Too Beautiful’, the portrayal of the struggle of a female Cuban boxer for her right to fight. Made in collaboration with adidas, it screened at dozens of international festivals before being acquired by HBO Max.

According to Revolver Executive Producer Raymond van der Kaaij, Through their work, these four directors have proven that they have the rare ability and talent needed to operate seamlessly across independent film and advertising.  We are already working on developing a full-length branded documentary with Marko, and a wide range of outside -of -the box projects, with all of our artists.”

“These four directors represent the core of our mission: to continue to give a voice and provide a platform for those who have a powerful story to tell.  Our goal is to have an even greater emphasis on the development of our talented artists moving forward. This means fostering new ideas for both the emerging and established artists we work with internationally.”

Revolver’s award-winning productions have been recognized globally by the likes of Sundance, Berlinale, DocFest Munich and dozens of other international festivals, and has taken home prestigious awards such as an Audience Award at Sundance.
