Lyft "Thank you, Paloma" (2017) 2:50 (USA)

Incredibly uplifting story that shows even in the darkest times there is hope in the world. Paloma is a hard working mother with several children who love art. It is her dream to take them to Paris one day.

She's also a Lyft driver who lives in Las Vegas. And was a brave hero. You see, she was working the night that crazed gunman killed nearly sixty people from his hotel room. And Paloma saved a man's life, a man who was shot in the back trying to protect his wife. That man was so touched he tracked her down to say thank you, and with Lyft's help, Paloma and her family are going on an all expenses paid trip to Paris. This also inadvertently shows that as an independent contractor working for a ride-sharing company, Paloma doesn't make that much and actually has to drive further to make the same amount of money she used to.

A glance at their reviews on Indeed, are full of drivers complaining about the low wages, the app that isn't work, lack of customer support and at best people saying it's a good job for a side hustle to make some extra cash.
I feel for Paloma. I hope she dines out on Lyft's expense when she's in Paris.

That was a better ad for Paloma than it was for Lyft.

It's even a better ad for Billy King than for Lyft. Protecting his wife with his own body? Oh man. Chivalry isn't dead.
