Here's some inspiring branded content from U.S. Cellular. This holiday season they have launched a campaign called The Future Of Good which acknowledges and rewards kids like Katie Price. Her story is uplifting as it is sad. Her great-grandfather was a vet and as he entered hospice, she planned to learn how to play taps on the bugle to play at his funeral. Sadly he died before she learned it. So now, she plays it for other fallen vets, to rectify the situation that there aren't enough buglers to play taps out there. She started a program to get other kids learned the bugle for so those soldiers could have the dignity of a live player at their funeral. U.S. Cellular pitched in by getting her some extra bugles and a check to help out. The look on her face is one of pure selflessness. It's quite inspiring and as cynical as I am some days, it's a story like this, that gives me hope that the future won't suck completely.
The fact the story is brought to me by a brand in no way diminishes her story or cause. It's just good.
