LeBron James is coming back to play for Cleveland and he wants you to know in as many commercials as possible. Unlike the self-serving Beats commercial, where LeBron is treated as nothing less than a second coming, this once is quite different. Here, he plays his first “home game,” with the community on some outdoor basketball courts in Patterson Park that Sprite helped restore. I would argue this spot does a much better job of capturing the sense of what Akron (and Cleveland) really feels about his return than the Beats spot which is more majestic. Nice job from Jacob Rosenberg and the Bandito Brothers crew to shine some light on the residents, too.
