This reminder to not leave your elderly friends and family alone at Christmas is, well, quite sad.
Nicole, the old lady makes up a random phone number via digits she can see around her, and basically crank calls a christmas greeting to a random child somewhere.
The child happily accepts a merry Christmas from grandma, but her parents are confused by who might have called as they have one grandmother in an urn in their own house.
That's quite sad, isn't it? So, call them, write them, zoom them, but above all, don't leave your elderly relatives and friends alone at Christmas. As Alexis Benoit, Creative Director Ogilvy Paris notes : "It's a bold change of tone in the midst of a wave of 'feel-good' ads, a deterrent through humor, because it was absolutely out of the question to be preachy".
