This campaign wanted to remind us to care for our elders who live alone in isolation, so they do not feel so desperately isolated. Especially now at Christmas when, despite Covid, we are all trying to gather socially in whatever way we safely can, but more so than ever, our older generation are in isolation because they can't join us.
For Alexis Benoit, Creative Director Ogilvy Paris: "It's a bold change of tone in the midst of a wave of 'feel-good' ads, a deterrent through humor, because it was absolutely out of the question to be preachy".
Hence the tragicomical execution. Call them, write them, zoom them, but above all, don't leave them alone at Christmas.
