PermalinkWeird that Make-a-Wish would have an ad that features financial elder abuse.

PermalinkThat was a very tacky commercial! If the only time I saw my grandchildren was for this cause I'd NEVER DONATE, in fact, after seeing it, our annual donation of $50,000.00 will not be forthcoming. I'm sur every grandparent that sees the his will be angered!

PermalinkI am sur of that too. /s

PermalinkWell now!! This is a neat find: to see I was not the only one offended by that commercial!! I even contacted them to voice my concerns that the commercial looked exploitive. They poop pooped me!! Hope they see this cause their funds will suffer. Our volunteer group withdrew our assistance!!

PermalinkThis is the WORST commercial EVER!! Seriously what are you trying to teach?? How about shoveling walks, cutting grass, going to the store for a senior. PLEASE can't believe it is still being aired!!

PermalinkThis commercial is horrible. Exploiting a family member to raise money? Making it look as though the only reason he's visiting his grandmother is to collect his loot? Putting up with a hug to collect money? Congratulations. He's a prostitute.

PermalinkI am absolutely shocked by this ad on so many levels! Portraying Grandma as a dotty source of money (ageist) and the grandson as exploitative and lazy. Come on Make-a-Wish folks, surely you can do better than this garbage. You certainly don't have my support.

PermalinkThis commercial is disgusting and advocates elder abuse.

PermalinkThis commercial has clearly pissed off a bunch of grandparents.

PermalinkSo what does this show? Grandparents are only good for handing out money!!! And the child brags he knows how to raise money......really? Does Make a Wish care, no! If it did, it would remove this disgusting commercial. When hell freezes over, I will donate to this cause!
