Not sure who dreamt this one up, but certain s/he's fired. Twenty people were injured on Friday when they attended an event promoting a LG phone. With BB guns and knives taped to sticks, people raced to grab vouchers hanging from helium filled balloons.
Yes. Knives on sticks.
Thrown at helium filled balloons.
Nope, no way that could go wrong.
LG released 100 helium balloons, each with a free smartphone voucher, at the so called "G in the Cloud" event. The event has been redubbed "World war G" in the regional news now. As the balloons were released, people shot at them with BB-guns and threw knives. One person even had a pointed staff.
LG will pay medical costs for those injured (quick, get that nose-job too while you're at it) said a statement at BBC:
"LG Electronics deeply regrets that a number of Korean participants were injured during an outdoor promotional event in Seoul, Korea
We can confirm that seven participants were hospitalised and, although none of the injuries were serious, LG takes full responsibility for the unfortunate situation and has offered to cover all related medical expenses.LG is investigating the incident to ensure that such an occurrence can be avoided in the future."
So, who wants the Korean LG event account?
