Yet when a $7 million cheque was waved in her face, she agreed to be the new face of Martini in Australia, provided that the ad will not be seen anywhere else, in particular she doesn't want any of her fans in the UK or USA to see the ad as they are much more aware of her teetotalism.

If you look back to 1991, she played Young Wendy in Hook - a girl who learned how to fly, battle pirates, etc., even when in real life, she probably abstains from hurling herself out of windows and things. In that context, I see nothing wrong with her acting like she drinks.
She's still a willowy cutie to me ;-)

PermalinkWho ever said Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't drink? True she does Yoga every day (or so I've heard), and I'm sure she eats healthily, but that doesn't mean she doesn't drink. She married a Brit for chrissake! Of course she drinks! (Although now that she's pregnant, I hope she's been abstaining from the drink!)
