Last night in Earl's Court London, the the 41st D&AD awards took place and more than 2000 adgrunts gathered for the free booze and Cannes-winners preview. A total of 129 Silver Awards for 2003 were given out, but not one black pencil, confirming the creative lull we've all felt.
TBWA did well, winning silver for John Smith's, and a silver for editing for 'Rip Off', the Big Issue. On the other side of the pond, TBWA/Chiat/Day scored another silver for Fox Sports Hockey.
The full list of winners, and the winning work, can be seen at dandad.org
While we are on awards, don't forget The British Television Advertising Awards - where the film NSPCC "Cartoon" won craft - it got a silver D&AD as well.
