TBWA\NZ crowned most Effective Agency of the Year & awarded the Grand Effie

Last night, TBWA\NZ was crowned the "Most Effective Agency of the Year" at the Effie Aotearoa New Zealand Awards, and teamed up with ANZ to snag the top prize - the Grand Effie.

The Commercial Communications Council, probably while sipping on some fine Kiwi wine, handed out these accolades for the slickest advertising and marketing of the past year. TBWA\NZ, strutting like a peacock, took home 10 trophies for their work with ANZ Bank New Zealand and 2degrees, plus the Agency of the Year tiara.

The Grand Effie went to ANZ's "From Dreaming Big to Knowing HOW" campaign, which apparently helped Kiwis not just dream but actually manage their finances better. This win comes hot on the heels of a Gold at the APAC Effie Awards, making ANZ's trophy cabinet look like a mini museum.

Catherine Harris, the Chief Executive at TBWA\NZ, said, “TBWA\NZ has worked tirelessly to produce work that works for our client partners and to take out 11 awards, including the Grand Effe is a phenomenal feat. To be announced as the Most Effective Agency of the Year though, is the best recognition for our absolutely incredible strategy team and all of our brilliant people who deliver excellence every day. We have the best clients in the country and these awards are a testament to our partnerships with them. For ANZ and 2degrees to be recognised at such a scale showed the power of the marketing teams and the work they do with us.”

Shane Bradnick, the Chief Creative Officer, added, “Last night’s awards were incredibly humbling. I’m so proud of the entire team; their smarts and passion, and I’m so incredibly thankful to our clients - for being bold, trusting us, choosing creativity and doing work that has impact and drives real change.”

Joseph Judd, Head of Strategy, wrapped it up with, “For our work to be acknowledged across 11 Effe awards, across eight categories is something a Strategist dreams of and last night dreams came true.
