Julia Louis-Dreyfus is one more celebrity imploring us to stay home, maintain social distancing and help flatten the curve. In this video, she has to do her own make-up because her make up people are all at home, flattening the curve.
Hilarity ensues.
I can't figure out if she looks more like Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane or The Cure's Robert Smith. It's kind of a toss up.
At least Dreyfus is likeable and self-deprecating as always, unlike those thirsty celebrities who decided to. butcher John Lennon's "Imagine," becuase they are desperate for more spotlight. Or Madonna telling us that Covid is the great equalizer from a rose pedal adorned bathtub. Or Arnold Schwarzenegger telling us to stay at home from his mansion's hot tub. What is it with celebrities and tubs?
The press is doing a great job of highlighting the celebrity in this PSA, but not the ad's call to action. Which is usually the problem with celebrity advertising. In this case, the point is to send you to California's Covid 19 Response website which offers news and userful resources in everything from managing stress to getting help for small businesses and more.
