This spot has a character named Father Dominic. I believe his son in real life is Ian Eagle who's a sports commentator. I think Ian's Father (Father Dominic-Sorry I don't know his real name) just recently passed away.
Jackie Eagle was his name. The character, actually, was Brother Dominic. The real joke was that Jackie was Jewish. One day he went to his parents' home during a lunch break on a commercial shoot, still wearing the robes. His parents nearly had heart attacks. Didn't now Ian is his son.

I have one of the life size cut outs of Brother Dominique that was used as an on site advertisement. It is still in the original box and never been out. I wonder if anyone knows if it has any value.

PermalinkHis name was Jackie Eagle, and he died a few years ago. Ian Eagle is his son. He was family, and a very nice man.

PermalinkI can't imagine that the average viewer today would get the central point of this: that monks copy out scripture, to show and improve their devotion.

PermalinkDid Jack Eagle pay you to keep mentioning his name here? This is getting a little bizarre.

PermalinkEverything is worth something! Just put it up for sale on eBay. Or perhaps Adland should have it and put it in their offices, that would be cool.
