Ryan Reynolds is at it again, now he's launching a beer.
Along with Rob McElhenney, Ryan has ventured into the beer business by acquiring a majority stake in Wrexham Lager, which is associated with Wrexham AFC, a football club they also own.
Wrexham Lager is celebrated for being the oldest British lager brewery still in operation, with its origins dating back to 1882. This is why they're telegraphing their points in the ad. A very silly idea, but at least you'll remember that the beer has a long history. The brewery was revived in 2011 by the Roberts family after a period of cessation in production. This historical brew has a significant heritage, having been enjoyed across the world in its heyday.
This beer move further cements Reynolds and McElhenney's influence in Wrexham, not just in sports but now in local industry. Their involvement has already led to increased visibility for Wrexham Lager through the popularity of "Welcome to Wrexham," a documentary series focusing on their ownership of Wrexham AFC, which has also boosted tourism and trade in the area.
