this ad was the one that told me that toys r us was in trouble--going to go downhill. those in the company who ok the ads probably thought it was great but also were aware of any internal financial troubles. and like all of us who telegraph their problems 'unconsciously', didn't see what I saw. To me, to have your company spokesperson say and demonstrate that they are not able to perform their basic business purpose, delivering toys, is to say "we suck!" So, without looking at financial spreadsheets or marketshare or trends, I said to my friends--they're in trouble. And not long afterword, they declared bankruptcy. Hmmm....
