September has arrived, and what better way to fight off the languid, dog days of summer than with some island hopping? The latest :15s Bus and Pedicab for the casual dining staple T.G.I. Friday's, completed via Publicis NY, offer up the colorful adventure of the Caribbean thanks to Pirate NY Composer Watt White's licensed track "Playing In The Sun All Day." Created for T.G.I.F.'s new Caribbean menu, both spots feature vibrant, island-inspired vehicles dropping American tourists off at a seemingly exotic destination spot, the popular American restaurant.
In Bus, patrons disembark while the driver calls out, "Enjoy now!" with a warm familiarity of the establishment, as White's track-a lively hybrid of Ska and Calypso--sets in. The ode to good times chimes in again during Pedicab, just after the red, yellow, and green-clad driver tells his wide-eyed customers: "Here we are, the place I was telling you about," pointing to T.G.I. Friday's. In both spots, the track transports the audience, bringing home the moment that restaurant-goers arrive and enter a world in which they can sit back and experience the Caribbean from the comfort of their favorite restaurant.
