students boo beer ads

Yahoo Reuters reports that 75 high school students protested in front of the beer industry's Washington lobbying headquarters Friday, accusing manufacturers of continuing to target children with alcohol advertisements.

The Beer Institute surprised the protesting teens by inviting them in for a 20-minute meeting with Jeff Becker, the Beer group's president. Becker declined to make any comment on individual ads which the teens had brought with them but said ads are often pulled from circulation if people object to them.
