Shilo and Ogilvy's "Burma Viral" featured in new Index Book, "For a Good Cause"

NEW YORK and LA JOLLA, CA. - The filmmakers from U.S. creative production company Shilo are very proud to announce that their "Burma Viral" project, produced with Carl Le Blond, Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather Amsterdam, John Jackson, Director of Social Responsibility, MTV Networks, Suki Dusanj, Founder of The Burma Arts Board, activist Sam Roddick and others, is featured within the pages of "For A Good Cause," a new collection of the world's best socially conscious design. A provocative, groundbreaking 90-second Public Service Announcement featuring meticulously animated footage of warplanes bombing Burma with flowers as a dramatic call-to-action, "Burma Viral" invited viewers to visit a Burma Arts Board website to send messages of support to the people of Burma. Having debuted in May of 2008 on participating MTV networks worldwide, via countless video-sharing websites around the globe, and in New York's Times Square, the project won the 2008 London International Awards Gold Statue for Television/Cinema Animation, as well as the Silver Kinsale Shark Award in the category of International Craft: Best Animation. It can now be seen in its entirety on Shilo's new website at www.shilo.tv.

Shilo co-founder Andre Stringer served as the company's creative director on the project, and as its lead artist, together with Tamir Sapir and David Hill. Shilo's executive producers were Tracy Chandler and Mark Hanrahan, Lindsay Bodanza was their producer, and Brenda Bentz van den Berg was the agency's producer. "Having this project featured in 'For A Good Cause' is yet another great honor for us and everyone who contributed to this amazing project," said Shilo's Stringer and Chandler.
