In Belgium they use happy and sad faces that are triggered based on your speed limit. Stay within the limit, and it's a smiley. Speeding? You get a frown face. Duvall Guillaume took that same premise and updated it for a more personalized feel. They started by encouraging Belgians to upload two photos of themselves. (NOT while driving, silly.) One smiling and one frowning. These photos were then superimposed on interactive billboards. So instead of seeing an illustration, you'd now see a photo of a local resident looking at you with approval or disapproval. See them all here. Neat idea but I think flashing photos of real people might end up distracting me more than anything else though.
