Bi-coastal music services company Music And Strategy (MAS) has strengthened its team with the addition of Joey Reyes as senior producer.
An accomplished advertising music producer with over 15 years of experience on both the agency and production sides, Reyes honed his craft early on at the likes of FCB and Lowe before shifting into composing and producing at renowned music houses including Stimmung, Nylon Studios and most recently, Amber Music. During this span, Reyes has worked with a wide variety of top-tier clients including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Kraft/Nabisco, Google, Verizon, AT&T and Mercedes-Benz.
According to the newly appointed MAS senior producer, who counts his efforts on campaigns including Levi’s “To Work” and Gap “Love Comes in Every Shade” among his career highlights, having experience on both sides of the spectrum will prove beneficial in his new role. “I know the inner workings of agency life and all the difficulties it can bring,” he says. “I have a great understanding, appreciation and respect for the agency process, from the very start of the job all the way through fruition. With agency experience, music house experience, and producing my own music, my work background and technical knowledge give me a unique perspective.”
As senior producer at MAS, Reyes will work alongside the company’s EP/head of sales Jenn Johnson, overseeing original music production, collaborating with composers, serving as the liaison between agencies and musicians while also helping out wherever else he’s needed. “I’d bend over backwards to ensure the success of MAS and the team,” he emphasizes. It’s Reyes’ stated dedication coupled with his background and skillset that appealed to MAS founding partner/managing director James Alvich, who adds, “Joey has a serious passion for music and the experience of multiple companies to back that up. His agency and music house experience is invaluable being that we work with agencies on a day-to-day basis. He will add another level of authenticity to our already amazing team and allow us to better serve our clients and their needs.”
