Microsoft Xbox 360 - The Standoff (2005) :60 (USA)

The promotional video for "Standoff" depicts a scenario where citizens engage in a playful confrontation by pretending to shoot each other with imaginary weapons. In a bustling building, two individuals exchange challenging glances, with one of them mimicking a handgun by shaping his hand and pointing it at the other person. In response, the targeted individual reciprocates the gesture, leading to a tense moment where everyone in the building begins mimicking various types of imaginary weapons and pointing them at each other.

As the tension builds, one person mimics pulling the trigger, accompanied by the exclamation of "bang!" This sparks a simulated battle, reminiscent of a video game fragfest. The pretend shooting spills out into the street, drawing people from different backgrounds who eagerly join the action, aiming at each other and dramatically collapsing when "shot."

Looks like someone at the ad agency 72andSunny is a fan of SPACED. Check out Series 2, Episode 5 to see what I mean.

This ad never made it to TV, as it was made to be seen only in brief appearances at Microsoft's promotional events, such as the Zero Hour launch event in Palmdale, California.

I hear that there is a 90-second version too.
