Nice little review of this spot from Adlister Alec Long, Senior Copywriter/Associate Creative Director, somewhere in Philadelphia, PA...
__________

Woman in a house. A gigantic beast-bot attacks. She eludes it, smashing at it with (a broom? A curtain rod? I forget.). After a terrifying struggle, she backs the heinous beat into the garage, where the Benz sits, hood open. The beats the monster repeatedly, backing it up into the hood. It hunkers down, and she slams the hood shut. Unmistakable message: The new Mercedes has a really friggin' powerful engine.

Unfortunately, that's where the spot fell apart for me.

She goes back inside, where her husband is getting ready to leave for work.

SHE: (frustrated, yet seemingly unfazed by having to battle an 8-foot cyborg) "Honey, you left the car unlocked again!"

?!???!!!!

How does leaving a car "unlocked" have anything to do with the hood opening?

I feel the same good piece that is until the end. "Alright Honey, Have a Good Day!" would have been better than the "forget to lock the car..." line. Understating that a monster comes with every MB. Bedsides, I thought they only put hood locks on Old muscle cars.

Cute commercial... I really don't think MB should've poked fun at the suburban household with this product though, maybe with a C-Class... but seiriously, the E55 AMG costs like what... 120,000 USD? Those who can afford it, are not living in suburbia... we can dream. They're so marketing it to the wrong section of the population.
