Engage In-Game Advertising creates regional game ads

We've heard all about the trend towards ads in video games, and now an advertising agency has launched specifically to serve ads to this "media" on a regional and local level. Engage In-Game Advertising claims:

[The company is] the first independent in-game media company to provide strategic planning and placement services targeted specifically for video game advertising. The company adds that it is pioneering localized in-game advertising programs in targeted markets for SUBWAY.

San Francisco-based Engage focuses solely on providing strategic direction for companies that want to reach targeted audiences by integrating their advertising messages into console, PC and mobile game properties. Unlike other in-game media companies, Engage serves companies on regional and local levels on a market-by-market basis, allowing brands to better target their audiences geographically.

Can the player blow it up? Because that is what I'd want to do.

Doubtful...but it's a great idea!

I think ads in games could actually get pretty cool and creative. But I'd like to see them look a little more realistic. I've never seen a pristine billboard GLOW out from the side of an old, worn looking building before.

generally, yes, if it is on something that you could already blowup, then you still can even though it now has an ad on it.
