Canada woefully lacking in TV commercials

A new study has come to the conclusion that Canada is lacking in TV commercials which "translates into significant lost economic opportunity," according to research firm FlatIron Information Services.

"We found from our comprehensive review that the Canadian television industry can readily absorb new advertising inventory and that there is persistent and growing demand for television advertising inventory in Canada," says Peter Simon, managing director of Toronto-based FlatIron.

The study also reports that television has overtaken daily newspapers as the largest medium for advertisers."
