Instead of their Clydesdales and random lovable donkey's or dogs, Budweiser chose to celebrate the spirit of helping each other. Since 1998 they have put fresh water into cans when natural disasters strike, like when hurricane Sandy hit New York and more recently when Florida, Houston and Puerto Rico suffered natural disasters. To date, Budweiser has delivered 79 million cans of water to cities across the U.S. By the end of 2018, their brewery in Fort Collins, CO will be joining their brewery in Cartersville, GA to deliver even more clean drinking water to communities in need.
This ad shows how a General Manager gets up in the middle of the night to get to work with the rest of the brewery workers. But this early morning they tap water instead of beer into the cans. When the news is on TV later, his wife shoots him a proud look. With this ad, Budweiser takes super bowl credit for something they've been quietly doing for twenty years, probably hoping that as this beer brand stands by America, America will stand by their beer. It's a bold move cotton lets see if it pays off.
