You've seen those banners everywhere - hot pink, shades of blues and black silouettes of people with iPods dancing. Apple launched that print and web campaign in September - and last night on West Wing (US telly) the commercial in the campaign made it's first appearance. The commercial is exactly like the print campaign, with a soundtrack added. No more clean white backgrounds - flashy colors are here to stay? Perhaps it was the 'homage' that BuyMusic did which made apple switch from white backgrounds once and for all?
Stylishly boring.
Apple should make an ad campaign specifically for Europe, and not try and run that here, it might cut through American ad clutter but in the UK it'll disappear between ads that actually say something.

PermalinkIf you use hotmail or visit msn.com you might have seen this banner for a Career Test. Could it be a badland contender against this new campaign from Apple? Check it out here.

PermalinkThis is the first Apple campaign that I'm not in love with. They're usuall, extremely cool, but this one doesn't speak to me. I can understand why they're highlighting the white headphones though. Everyone seems to have a pair on...except me. I'm a Jukebox 3 fan!

... sooner or later right? Bingo! - here we have Steve Ballmer's iPod dancing, a flash homage to this real monkey dance.
