In 1968 Charles Wilp created the Afri-Cola poster campaign, as well as a series of fantastically weird psychadelic commercials. The models were nude, dressed as soldiers or nuns, surrounded by dolls, famous actresses, artists, singers and hipsters of the time.
The soft focus look was achieved by freezing a the Afri Cola logo as a three dimensional ice-piece onto glass that seperates the model from the photographer, in the heated studio lights it melts and gives a surreal focus to the portraits.
