Adobe - The Launch / Space mission sponsored by Astroboost - (2015) :60 (USA)

Adobe have really found their stride here, mocking the advertising business in a knowing fashion just as they did in woo woo, mean streets (variant) and click, baby, click. Better still, this ad was used as a video-banner overlay on Advertising Week's homepage, and as we know now, the future of banner ads & ad blocking is being hotly debated at advertising week this year. Adobe is so on the money right now, dead presidents envy them.

At advertising week, which Adobe is sponsoring, this ad will be screened before many of the sessions. The fake drink brand that fails to sponsor a trip to Mars has its own twitter account of course, astroboostdrink, and the drink is being served up for free around the #AWXII, if you mention their tweet you get a free shirt. A silly extension in any other context but advertising week, where adgrunts of all levels appreciate Adobe's self-mocking campaign. The point is crystal clear, there's ever more data out there but data alone does not tell you what to do in your marketing strategy, and isolated teams will make really bad calls if you let them. Adobe are here to help, and they seem to know us oh so well.
