Starbucks Digital Network continues to announce new content providers, this time it's Adland.tv. The 15 year-old site is the world's best online collection of advertising from around the globe and the world's largest Super Bowl archive.
Adland.tv's founder Åsk Wappling said, "I was shocked that they approached me. But I'm really thrilled Starbucks has decided our content is on par with the likes of The Economist and ESPN. We're a site built by adgrunts, for adgrunts, and being a part of this network just goes to show how advertising is really more than just marketing, but a part of culture. Plus, most creative types I know are constantly caffeinated, so it's a perfect match."
The network serves up hand-picked premium news, entertainment and lifestyle content, along with local insights and events and launched in October 2010.
Customers gain access to the Starbucks Digital Network when they connect to free Wi-Fi at company-operated Starbucks in the U.S. The Starbucks Digital Network content can be accessed with devices on the AT&T network in store by typing the URL starbucks.yahoo.com in browser.
About Adland.tv
Founded in 1996 by Dabitch - Åsk Wäppling. The core idea was to bitch, rant and gossip about advertising while collecting ads of all media for reference, and gather all likeminded adgrunts to join in while showing off their ad-work. The site is worked on by a team of dedicated and passionate advertising professionals from around the world, all of whom work on Adland pro-bono. The site features over 90,000 members and well over 45,000 commercials collected, including the world's largest Super bowl commercial collection in the world (both on and offline).
