Creative and production studio TigerLily has promoted award-winning creative Varick Rosete to Chief Design Officer + Principal. Rosete, who previously spent more than a decade as Art Director at TigerLily, is hailed for his visual storytelling exploits spanning design, illustration, and video working with such clients including FIS, GE, Capital One, TIAA, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. In this new role, he will work closely with CEO + Founder Brenda Kolb and Chief Creative Officer + Principal Andrew Fallon to help move the company forward and implement new processes and innovations to keep TigerLily at the forefront of design and animation.
“Knowing and working alongside Varick for 10+ years has truly been a gift,” says Kolb. “Time and again, we’re awed by his tireless dedication to pushing his craft, our people, and our clients forward. He’s a real champion of exceptional design, which is at the heart of what we do. His appointment as a member of our executive team is a testament to his leadership within TigerLily.”
“I’ve always had an affinity for building a community around creative craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, and TigerLily champions the same philosophy as much as I do,” adds Rosete, who joined the team in 2012. “At the end of the day, we’re friends who love exploring new canvases and mediums to paint upon, whether it’s design, live-action, or animation. I'm proud to be a part of the leadership guiding this next stage of TigerLily, as I’ve had a front-row seat to how Brenda and Andrew have strategically evolved the company over the last decade to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients.”
Rosete's renowned and award-winning career began at Comer Communications, where he refined his craft as a graphic designer. His creative horizons continued as Art Director at Florida-based advertising and public relations agency Husk Jenning. Simultaneously, Rosete’s entrepreneurial spirit came to the fore with the launch of Tsinilas Clothing Company, a Filipino-based pop culture clothing line. The endeavor enabled him to infuse cultural diversity into his creative output.
Rosete co-founded interactive upstart nGen Works in 2003, serving as Creative Director until 2009. During this time, he became an active member of AIGA. As President of the Jacksonville Chapter from 2009 to 2011, he championed the growth and development of the design community, both locally and nationally.
Shortly after, Rosete co-founded the collaborative community hotspot CoWork Jax and co-created the World's Crowdfunding Festival, One Spark, a groundbreaking event that celebrated and supported local creators and entrepreneurs. In 2015, Rosete and his designer wife co-founded Wolf & Cub, a premier concept boutique store in Downtown Jacksonville.
Joining TigerLily in 2012 signaled a culmination of all of Rosete’s passions and legacy as a designer, illustrator, animator, and creative leader, where he has spearheaded content for the likes of Oracle, Conde Nast, Scholastic, Jacksonville Symphony, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
“I look forward to bringing another layer of experience to my tenure as Chief Design Officer,” concludes Rosete. “I’m more committed than ever to continue inspiring and shaping the creative world. And I’m proud to say that we have never wavered in our pursuit of artistic excellence, which has become a hallmark of the TigerLily brand.”
