Sheppard of Runt does SHOTS

Director Graydon Sheppard has directed this cryptic little film for the reel of reels, SHOTS magazine. It was on the DVD issue 93 that came out this week. Graydon is a new director with Runt, the youth division of UNTITLED Toronto.

The surreal scene of scrabble is all shot in a fantastic location, the top floor ballroom in the King Edward Hotel, Toronto, a room which has been left untouched for 30 years.

Just a little more:

In 1921, an 18 storey tower was added and the opulent Crystal Ballroom was added to the hotel to be the social venue for weddings, social events, and debutante balls on the 17th and 18th floors. The ballroom/dining room was equipped with a
kitchen to serve 1,000 guests. The decorative plaster walls, a ceiling in a classical style, and double-height windows providing the most spectacular views of the city and lake.

Crystal Ballroom: closed to the public since the late 1950s, this was the place where Toronto debutantes danced and special occasions took place.
