The new Queens of the Stone Age album Villains just dropped but there was some really fun marketing to go along with it. First is this insane promo. It mocks those black and white European perfume ads hard and then takes a turn halfway through, kind of. Look, just watch it, I can't explain.
But if that weren't enough, their record label, Matador Records teamed up with butcher shops around the country and one in London, too, so you could get some artwork inspired by the new album wrapped around your raw meat. I love everything about this. Not only is it batshit crazy but they know their audience well. We love great food. As far as as placement goes this is tops.
h/t to Tom Megginson for posting this. Check out his blog Work That Matters, too.
