L.A. based artist Kii Aarens, like so many others on the planet sympathize with Pussy Riot's anti-establishment and random church vandalizing stance after hearing about their sacrilegious anti-Putin trial. Putin can lead a flock of rare cranes but he can't keep the punk women in the country in check without resorting to good old Siberia. Long live the new king, same as the old king. Kii decided to make a poster about it. “I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota in the 70's going to a Catholic church every week,” Aarens told ARTINFO. “Even back then I was frustrated by the outdated beliefs and policies and never really knew how to show it.”
Now for sale on FAB.com which is short for "you have to log in to even look at it and can expect 4 weeks delivery time". You can also buy it straight off Kii's website and see it sooner. A portion of the net proceeds from the sale of these posters will be donated to the Pussy Riot legal defense fund.
