Nico Buris joins Rabagast as Managing Director/EP for South America

“Production service at the highest levels require the best of the best and Nico is one of those. He was our top pick to head our operations in Chile, Uruguay and Argentina and we are thrilled that he has joined the Rabagast family,” says Rabagast’s founder Magnus Thulin.

“Trust, accountability, and experience are everything when choosing a production partner. For me, it’s all about the Rabagast team and our ability to create an authentic partnership with our clients at the highest level of service,” notes Buris. “It is very attractive to be a part of a company that has been around for nearly two decades and has clients that have been with them from the start.”

“This is an exciting time for production service in South America – with an increase in the level of work that clients trust to bring to the region,” Nico continues. “My job is to make sure that most of this work is done with Rabagast.”

Buris knows better than most what the region has to offer. For the last 20 years he has been producing in his native Argentina as well as in Chile and Uruguay. Previously a producer at Landia, one of the top Spanish speaking production houses in the world, Buris has worked closely with directors on large-scale projects in the US, Europe and South America. Among them are collaborations with American ad agencies on projects for Coca Cola, SC Johnson and Procter & Gamble.

He was also a line producer at Tronco, a commercial and creative content production company where in collaboration with the US based production company 1st Avenue Machine his credits include Benjamin Moore for The Martin Agency, Sonos for 72 & Sunny, Pure Leaf for DDB, and Motorola for Droga 5.

“’Where can we best shoot this?’ is my favorite question I get from our US clients,” says Jeanette Rahill, EP North America based in LA. “With Rabagast having offices in five countries the answer may not always be an obvious one. Nico and I work closely to find the best solutions for South America – when we bid, we examine cost effectiveness without sacrificing the creative vision that the project demands.”

Rabagast is based in Spain, Portugal, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina. The company has collaborated with noted ad agencies including Wieden & Kennedy, CP+B, BBH, DDB, Forsman Bodenfors, McCann, Saatchi + Saatchi, JWT on commercials, content, and still shoots for Nike, Volvo, Scania, H&M, Spotify, Heineken, and Mercedes, among others.
