The new Sprite ad featuring the low-rider bicycles is a blatent rip-off of 1994 Airwalk spots by Lambesis!
Imagine my surprise when I see this complete rip-off of a TV commercial I worked on at Lambesis, in a Sprite commerical featuring low-rider bicycles...
I refer to https://www.think.cz/portfolio/airwalktvc
The Sprite commercial even uses some of the same dialog as ours, and footage, it's such a rip-off, I thought for sure that they must be sampling our dialog... If anybody knows who did this shit, have them write me, or I'm sending this to my good friend, who's an editor for Ad Age!

PermalinkDude - the Sprite lowrider bikes spot has been running on and off in the US for almost eight months now - it ain't exactly new.
But some of the same footage, eh? Is it stock? Tell us more, or try and provide the Airwalk spot. Or at least more stills, the transcript or more details. We need a bit more before we can call it a Badlander. Thanks.

PermalinkMaybe the transcripts alone would be good to compare - if the dialougue is the same it'll be pretty obvious.

Permalinkdarn... I can't get the sprite ad to play after the first few seconds. Dialouge so far:
"we're artists.."
"we build low rider bikes."
and then the films starts rebuffering.. and fails.. Grr.
