Via The Washington Post (print version), news on the departure of Jason "George from Seinfeld" Alexander as the pitchman for KFC.
Was he a convert to PETA's cause? Or had the campaign just run its course?
Never been a particular fan of the celebrity pitch person myself – especially if the celebrity has nothing to do with the product beyond a paycheck.
Just doesn't seem like the best way to build a brand.
And then what happens when the celeb's lifestyle disagrees with the public image the marketers crafted?
And what does that say about the company's integrity?
Here's a HTML version link.
