Jake Davis joins Notorious 24:7

Venice-based commercial production house Notorious 24:7 has added director Jake Davis, an NYU Tisch School of Arts graduate with a foundation in grassroots content production, music promos and culturally relevant industrials. Notorious 24:7 specifically aims to connect Jake with agencies looking to produce content projects that effectively deliver brand identities in the new media landscape.

Jake’s first experience with advertising came while still at NYU when he was recruited by Wieden+Kennedy to direct a short film for Nike. The success of that collaboration paved the way for several more innovative projects covering Nike Battlegrounds, Run NYC, and sneaker culture. Nike also brought him on to conceive Nike’s brand energy center in NYC simply named 255 Elizabeth.

Upon graduation from NYU, Jake signed on to document the Anger Management Tour featuring Eminem, Ludacris, Xzibit, Papa Roach, and the X-ecutioners. The DVD ”Built To Scratch” released by Koch Entertainment is the result of that production. Jake’s strong passion for music and youth culture soon brought him to Music Choice as their in-house director and editor of exclusive music videos, commercials, and original shows. There he worked with a gamut of top artists including My Chemical Romance, Kanye West, Hinder, Hawthorne Heights, Head Automatica, Staind, Lacuna Coil and KT Tunstall.

It wasn’t simply Jake’s range of experience that appealed to Notorious 24:7. Exec. Producer Neale Ferguson recognized in Jake’s work an innate talent for telling stories and profiling urban personalities with a style that speaks directly to today’s audiences. “Jake fits the profile of the new media director. He balances classic filmmaking with the new advertising paradigm. And he’s proficient in all aspects of media production from filming through finish. This reads like a PR release. Jake baby may very well be "a very good filmmaker with great stories to tell" but he needs a new publicist. This is as dry as dogshit. "Notorious 24:7 specifically aims to connect Jake with agencies looking to produce content projects that effectively deliver brand identities in the new media landscape." - in other words Jake will make ad. spots for you. Whoopee-do!
