To celebrate JFK’s legacy on the 50th anniversary of his death, an interactive documentary has just launched at www.anidealiveson.org, For An Idea Lives On, The Martin Agency again teamed up with innovative production company Tool, which had previously produced the Emmy and Cannes Award-winning JFK-themed Clouds Over Cuba interactive project.
The centerpiece of An Idea Lives On is an interactive documentary, which combines user-generated content, stock footage portraying key JFK initiatives, and curated footage shot by Tool Director Ben Tricklebank and Martin Agency CD Brian Williams. The project eschews conspiracy theories and politicization, choosing instead to demonstrate the ways in which JFK’s legacy influences lives today. Rather than focus on Kennedy’s tragic assassination, the pair tracked down subjects that would help flesh out the positive impact of JFK’s legacy.
Built in HTML5, anidealiveon.org is available in desktop and tablet versions. Viewers will be able to watch short, interconnected films about JFK’s legacy across a wide range of subjects, from space to fashion, choosing to stick with a single category or navigating along a more personalized path. Users are also encouraged to submit their own stories that, once folded into the main documentary, will become a part of a storytelling quilt of JFK’s lasting accomplishments.
