Burgeoning content house HOUND has been busy feeding its roster with some of the most sought-after filmmakers working today. The Los Angeles-based production company has announced the signing of Bo Mirosseni to its enviable cadre of directors.
Mirosseni's off-kilter, charmingly idiosyncratic and often surreal work has won over both clients and critics. After beginning his career in music videos, his freshman effort in the commercial world (a spot for Virgin Mobile) landed him a coveted nomination at the Cannes Young Directors Showcase. Since then he's been at the helm of campaigns for top-tier brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Ray-Ban, Samsung, and more. Mirosseni’s short films have made the rounds on the festival circuit as well as regularly garnering venerable “Vimeo Staff Pick” status.
His visually eccentric style is always grounded by an emotional humanity, a blend that that makes Mirosseni stand out in a highly competitive industry. His recent PSA “The Mom And Dad Bods Anthem” for organ donation website Organize.org is a delightfully absurd and roundabout appeal to sign up for organ donation.
Bo Mirosseni has crafted visuals for acts such as Sleigh Bells, Black Moth Super Rainbow and Mystery Skulls, while his electrifying clip for Disclosure’s “When A Fire Starts To Burn” landed among the lists of the Top 10 Music Videos of 2014 by Rolling Stone, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Stereogum and Video Static.
Currently, Mirosseni is in production on a music video for Zhu’s next single, the artist acclaimed for his anonymous release of the hit “Faded.”
The addition of Mirosseni has been met with equaled excitement by the director himself and HOUND's four Executive Producers. Launched by EPs Missy Galanida and Isaac Rice in March of 2016, HOUND recently enlisted industry vets Joby Barnhart and Jamie Miller to head up the commercial division.
“I love HOUND's content and branding. It's undeniably cool but totally unpretentious,” remarks Mirosseni. “The passion and excitement that everyone there had for me straight out the gate has me very excited for the future.”
Joby Barnhart returns Bo's enthusiasm, commenting, “We are extremely drawn to Bo’s strong visual acumen and his sense of whimsy. He has a natural talent for igniting performance, a sense of realness, and an incredibly interesting voice. We are excited to support that further.”
Since its recent inception, HOUND has been impressively prolific. From branded content for Samsung, VH1, Beats, AT&T and JC Penney and more, to music videos for the likes of Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Drake, Bruno Mars and Chainsmokers, HOUND is known for its unique and provocative work. With a finger set steadily on the pulse of the next generation of content, HOUND continues to stake its place as leader of the pack.
