Dutch Railways - Platform of Love (2016) case study (The Netherlands)

Dutch Railways decided to give Cupid a helping hand his Valentines day, and installed a "platform of love" at two different train stations, Utrecht and Haarlem. Using similar dynamics as popular dating apps, people could stand in front of the "platform of love" portal and flirt over a live video connection, until they found a match. Once they did find a match, they were whisked away to a super romantic meeting spot normally not open to the public: the royal waiting room at Amsterdam Central Station. With a little bubbly and quiet conversation, Dutch Railways just did what they do best: bringing people together.

A very cute little event that I'm sure had a few people trying the "live dating app" out as it was done over the weekend, and the framed portal seems to have caused quite the commotion. I've been inside some of the old and gorgeous waiting rooms that are not for royalty at various Dutch stations and can only imagine the Royal one being even better.
