In this throwback to Marilyn Monroe's 1953 movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes," Anonymous Content's Jake Nava captures Beyonce Knowles' raw sex appeal for the new Emporio Armani fragrance Diamonds as the diva sings her siren song rendition of "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend." Jake Nava most recently received the honor of a directorial nomination for music video "Beautiful Liar," a Beyonce and Shakira collaboration, for the MTV Video Music Awards. The project also amassed a total of five nominations for Most Earth-Shattering Collaboration, Best Choreography, Best Editing, and Female Artist of the Year. Nava's next job will also be working with Kate Moss on a spot for beauty product line, Rimmel. From Director Jake Nava:
It was a pleasure to work with Beyonce again on such a refined, premium project…this being our fifth collaboration. They wanted a passionate, raw, performance, not your classic esoteric perfume ad. I really enjoyed working with the Armani team. There was a strong creative on their end, what the Diamonds perfume represents and how their existing style would evolve in the collaboration with Beyonce and myself. The result was so successful that they decided to use one of the shoot images for the print campaign. While at the Diamonds launch, I got a chance to see how the commercial worked to reflect the brand, even met the guy that invented the scent.
