Oh now that's the kind of surprise I'd like to find in a chocolate egg: a chance to test drive a car to a great restaurant. Cadillac Canada's agency Red Lion, put the keys to a new Cadillac CT6s inside the hugely popular “Ziggy Stardust Disco Egg” from Olsen’s trendy Toronto restaurant, La Banane.
Cadillac used segmentation data to determine which luxury car owners had an expiring lease and then mailed these babies out. Once discerning Torontonian cracked open the direct mail dessert, they discovered the keys to a CT6 Cadillac that was parked right outside their homes.
Once they got inside, the car’s pre-programmed navigation system directed them to La Banane. Here they enjoyed an all expense dinner paid for two. And since you best believe that included wine, Cadillac was nice enough to provide a driver to take their decadently drunk butts home, and also make sure the Cadillac came back in one piece, too.
Fun idea. I wish that would happen here in L.A. although after all that sitting in traffic, I'd have enough road rage built up in me by the time I pulled up to a restaurant to ignore any good will.
