Bajaj Auto - Pulsar - Motorcycles dance - (2008) 1:15 (India)

Every trick invented it seems is used in this advert shot by Velocity Films director Lourens Van Rensburg for Pulsar Motorcycles for O&M, Mumbai - the motorcyclists even do them syncronized, and burn rubber ’til there’s smoke. I'm getting all hot and bothered here, I need to find my helmet and go try every trick I just saw. *door slam, tires screeching*

It's like a Bollywood dancing scene only on bikes isn't it? :)

That made me want to get a motorcycle, and I've never had an interest in bikes.

Neaner's picture

That is nothing short of motorcycle porn.

WOW!!! [nearly faints with exhaustion from the excitement!]

I don't own a bike, but I've maintained the addition on my driver's license that says I'm allowed to operate one. (I added that to my license back when I thought I was going to get an off-road bike, possibly a Husqvarna, some 25+ years ago).

Those guys are insane.

Fantastic feeling. Great music, does anyone know what that is? Go O&M Mumbai! Go Lourens Van Rensburg!

droooooooooooool. They make it look so easy and elegant.

What's the onomatopoeic spelling for jaw hitting floor?

If ever an ad made me want to get something I'd never considered before it's that one. Kudos O&M Mumbai.

Dear O&M Mumbai. Thank you for relieving my disappointment in Sony's latest foam ad with this motorcycle ballet. Talk about coming out of left field, I wasn't expecting anything half as good. Can we give them sort of award?

Dabitch's picture

Keep rating it five and it'll end up on the year end review for certain.

Damn. If I got a bike now it'd look like a mid-life crisis.

Sorry to be the dissenting voice here but I think the director and DP overplayed their hand. There's a reason Fred Astaire insisted on shooting his dance sequences from head to toe (full figure): so you can actually see the dance. The same holds true for me on this spot. The director and DP (or the editor) seem so bent on aritifically adding excitement and energy through constantly moving cameras, quick cuts and so forth but I find it distracting. I think it interferes with the power of the spot though it does improve towards the end.

I keep thinking of Truffaut's comment about Robert Altman's M*A*S*H. Never once did he put the camera in the right place. That is clearly an exxageration for this spot but I couldn't help but think this could have been handled better.

Your points are valid michael , but I still love this ad. The music is great.

If you can get information about Bajaj pulsar model's price and complete specification and many more. This Bajaj is one of the most popular two-wheeler automobile company in India.
