@Dabitch yes. I know what you mean. The show looks like it will be alright... I'll watch... (A few episodes at least)\ The"Travel Bug" concept is interesting. I am curious about the evolution of the Travel Channel. I feel like they are trying to appeal to a much younger audience. The 20-30 professional, rather than the older retired world traveler. Is there anyone out there who has watched the Travel Channel since day one? Have you seen a change in the channel's positioning?
@Claymore I disagree. "Banned" means "I dont have to spend 3 mil to create buzz" Think about it.... How many ads did we watch tonight, that we will NOT talk about? Then think how much people are talking about this ad, that wasn't even placed...
@Dabitch I love this line. I may use it some day, "The guy at the party who pukes on the rug gets your attention as well, but it doesn't mean that you'll ever listen to him either".

Stupid? Yes.
Offensive? Yes.
Dumbing down to audience? Probably.
Lacking Creativity? Yes.
But I will say this about these ads and the strategy. The strategy seems to work. They are MEMORABLE!
If you ask me "Who is a domain name provider?" I will immediately think of the Go Daddy girl (the orginal) and then GoDaddy.com. And even though I find the ads offensive, if I was in the market for a web domain, I would go to GoDaddy, because I know the company.
So it works. Despite being offensive they work.

I don't blame him. I would be mad too. I gotta say the ads are funny. Are they on strategy? I do not know.
Oh, and as a side note:
He says when he writes in all caps, it isn't because he is mad, he is just lazy and istyping with one hand. I am a long time blog follower. I know these things.
