I not only love stop motion animation, but also commercials which feature inanimate objects that are personified (or actually animated). So, this commercial gets two thumbs up in my book! I think the stop motion works particularly well because it reminds me of a storybook or a child's cartoon, both of which often feature "monsters" and everyone living happily ever after once they've been banished.
I agree that the quirkiness of what they show to symbolize a new job being posted works well at grabbing the viewer's attention, and i think it works simultaneously to pull people into watching the whole commercial block. I'm sure many people who would have left or changed the channel at the beginning of the commercial break decided to stick around to see if a skunk or harpsichordist would really be shown every 30 seconds-- which ended up benefiting the other advertisers as well

This is really cool, and fits so well with Mad Men. I also like watching it live when they have the little ad-facts segments going into and out of each commercial break. It all ties in so well with the show.
