25-year-old Jaye Marie Green, a pro-golfer with four career Top-10 finishes under her belt, is the star of a beautiful new spot from KIA that is a 10 year tribute to the women who have competed in the KIA Classic; KIA Motors has sponsored this LPGA tournament since its inception in 2010.
“10 Years in, we’re still entranced by what makes a Classic,” the caption reads as Green selects a club and takes a breath in the pre-dawn. She takes a swing in a succession of quick shots and we see firsthand a disciplined athlete dedicated to her craft, practicing on the empty grounds of the Aviara Golf Club. “To the women who Give It Everything, thank you for putting in the work.” We cut to Green putting her clubs in the back hatch of a shiny new 2020 Kia Telluride. A caption: “We’ll see you on the green.”
Filmed on location in Carlsbad, CA, the site of the KIA Classic, the spot was directed by Alex Frenkel of Innocean USA and produced by Marcus Vadas of Campsite Media House. Campsite has worked with other notable clients such as Herman Miller, Mountain Dew, Red Bull, Airbnb, San Pellegrino and Johnson & Johnson. Campsite also produced the new “Sound of Passion” spot for MagnaFlow starring racing legend Mario Andretti which has been submitted for Emmy consideration in the Outstanding Commercial category.
Green competes this week in the Pure Silk Championship in Williamsburg, VA; says Green of her experience working on the KIA spot: "Not only was the team at CAMPSITE really fun to work with but in the end they produced a really beautiful piece that everyone involved, especially me, was very proud of.”
