The executives have suspected it for some time, and now scientists have kinda sorta verified it - the stuff that makes creative types, well, creative, is also the stuff that makes crazy people loony tunes. (more...)
But not all of you have to fret - If you possess the combination of creativity + intelligence + a decent memory, you're mostly in the clear. Science Daily reports, adapted from a University of Toronto news release
On the upside, this gives creatives a fabulous weapon when trying to get work through the approval chain. If you experience any resistance, just quote Bill Bixby...
"Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
Then whoop and gibber and throw things (note: self-mutilation may be seen as excessive by some). Results may vary.
Ah, this could also be a not so subtle statement on the creative's role in the approval process. Rather than whoop and gibber, grow red-faced and struggle mightily but ineffectually as soon as you hear the words "yeah, we like it but do you think you could..."
