Before I saw you posted this, I posted a story more or less the exact same comments. GET OUT OF MY MIND. Geek Power Unite!
Also, I assumed the Stones were more Jack Daniels fans.
Talk about missing the point.
Did you completely miss the point of the entire article that the economic realities are having a direct impact on working class musicians? I mean I did bookend the article with those points for the tl;dr crowd.
How about Claude Coleman Jr, Ween's drummer, who was living out of his car because he couldn't make a living. Or are you perfectly fine with that? Is your take, why should a musician expect to make a living at all?
How about Daniel Dlimi, Swedish guitarist of Aeon who quit because he can't afford to make a living by touring?
Forgive me if I think someone should expect to make a living for their job, but I refuse to take your stance on this issue.
Southern Comfort's history is as follows: Janis Joplin drank it.
They've been trying to make SoCo a thing for a few years now. I'm a few years removed from college so I don't know if the 21 year olds are saying it, but I've yet to hear an adult in a bar order a SoCo. Maybe the younger demographics are. It's certainly easier to pronounce when you're drunk, than "Southern Comfort." I mean you're losing two whole syllables.
I'm so tired of the fake PSA execution. Especially when it's a half hour long. I give them props for keeping the logo till the end but they were having so much fun making fun of a demographic that actually could use their product, they kinda forgot to sell it to me for most of the spot. Also, I'm fairly certain Justin Bieber could sue for their using his name unless they somehow managed to get permission which I doubt.
