Ridley Scott enters the Superbowl fray with a 30-second edit of his six-minute film "The Journey". The film stars Sylvia Hoeks, and Istanbul's new airport, where she plays a game of cat and mouse trying to find someone in Istanbul. As we follow along, we see the city through her eyes.
Ridley Scott explains why he chose to direct this ad:
"I decided to go back and click-into advertising because I love the chase and the speed of the job. The fact is that this project went beyond the limitations of traditional advertising, and allowed me the creative freedom to tell the story."
Turkish Airlines will air one minute and thirty-second clips of the film in cinemas across the country, and the 30-second edit during Superbowl LIII. The film itself will be released on Turkish Airlines' social media platforms.
